This is the top of Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Ga. A pic of me at one of the lookouts at Brasstown Bald. And just a weird pic that I took while riding up the Mtn.

This is called Jameson Weed...Named after Jamestown VA. It seems the colonist got "high" off this plant. It only blooms at night. It dies back in the cold, but come warm weather, it blooms again. And it spreads. This is the plant on one side of the driveway. We have 2 other plants that we never planted on the other side of the drive. It likes the rain. This is the most flowers we have ever had....at least 4+ every night on each plant.
The purple purse is one that I did for a swap for a girl that loves spiders. The bag is my pattern, just put together for the design. The embroidery design came from Urban Threads.

The beach chick bag, front and back, was done for a knitting friend who loves the beach and heat. She was going through a rough patch and I thought she needed something to cheer her up.

Marks new shirt...

I think the shirt turned out good. Mark had the idea of putting the tribal on either side of the bike. The front has his "road name"....

Poor Milo

He is the only pug we can keep a headdress on and still get a picture. Here he is being patriotic...getting ready for the 4th.

About time...

This is Bethany on her graduation day from the Police Academy. She was number one in her class. She looks good in her uniform.

Urge to sew!!!!

While cleaning up my craftroom and closet, I have come across tons of unfinished sewing projects. Guess I will try to get to them this week, as soon as I uncover the sewing machine from all my cleaning. I found some leather that I did embroidery on that would look so good on a purse/bag. And a shirt that I want to add beading to. Why is it there is not enough time in a day to do crafts and work too...not to mention cleaning????

Mother's Day Weekend

Friday, did Relay for Life walk. Really meaningful to me. Don't know why, but I get so teary eyed. 7 years cancer free now. It's like those three years of chemo and fighting cancer is a dream. Mark and Bethany walked with me. They were such a great support then and now.

Saturday, did the Canton Mother's Day Pow Wow. Been going for at least 12 years now, or more. Mark and I went early and saw friends and all the stalls. Bethany, Brian and Richard came later and we did another walk around. Then to eat ice cream afterwords. Really nice time with the kids and Mark.

Sunday Mark and I rode the bike to Helen. Such fun. Ate and listened to a live singer on the lawn at the Bike shop.

All in all, the best Mother's Day.

Yarn!!!!!

Why is it???
When you have so much yarn and promise yourself no more yarn buying.....you see a sale with yarn you have been wanting forever????

You start a project, then realize your gauge is off and have to "frog" it (rip it...rip it)????

You know you have the perfect pattern for that great yarn, and then can't find the pattern any place??

You want to add beads to a project, but when looking through your 3 boxes of beads, nothing is the right size???

Is it just me???
